"One Day, I Will Write.

I will write whatever comes to mind. 

I will explore the world within,

by expressing it throughout.

My thoughts will spill from me,

taking on a life of their own.

May they become a blanket to warm the chill

of a soul; one day.

May they be a beacon of truth

in a shrouded world; one day.

May they immortalize

the mortal; one day.

 One day, when I write,

may those thoughts flow forth

and nourish the earth.

May they cause flowers to surface

and replace dry dirt.

All I can think now, and all I can say

is I hope to create beauty for you; one day."

Writing poetry is something that I have been intrigued with since my teenage years, although it did not become a passion of mine until I discovered how helpful it was in sorting through difficult emotions. I found that poetry was an amazing resource for coping with painful circumstances. The featured poem above "One day, I will write" was written February 18, 2018. It is time to make this dream a reality! I have decided to share my voice with the world (or whoever chances upon it).
